Purpose of the Course
The purpose of the e-Personal Financial Management course is to educate students in the basics of personal financial planning. Our goal is to provide students with the foundation to successfully manage their risks, plan and achieve goals through savings and investments and be knowledgeable consumers.
There are two delivery options for the e-Personal Financial Management Course (ePFM):
Self-Study – Internet Delivered - Video $35
This is the same as the Live – Internet Delivered course, except that students are watching and listening to a recorded class. Students will email questions to an instructor, which will be answered within 24 hours. Students still take the class from the comfort of their home or office, using their computer. Students listen to the instructor using their computer speakers, while watching the video lecture. This course is two hours and covers risk management, introduction to insurance products to mitigate risk, savings and investments, goal setting and attainment, debt management, budgeting techniques and consumer protection information.
