Time to Think About the July 2009 CFP Exam

I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk to you about preparing for the July 2009 CFP Exam.
 
As you know by now, the CFP education consists of a lot of material.  Overall, it’s not terribly difficult, there’s just lots of it.  In order to properly prepare and give yourself the best possible opportunity to pass the July exam, I would like you to begin preparing for the exam starting this month.  I know that you still have a portion of your education program to finish, but it’s important to get started early, even if it means studying just a few hours a week.  The CFP exam is a professional level exam and it requires a significant amount of work to be truly “exam ready”.  You need to study about 200 hours outside of your education program to be ready for the CFP exam, so we need to start planning now.
