Fulfill the 2-hour ethics continuing education requirement with our CFP Board-approved course, designed to educate professionals on CFP Board’s revised Code and Standards.
Satisfy the CFP Board Ethics CE Requirement
Individuals who have earned their CFP® certification are required to complete 30 hours of continuing education (CE) each reporting period: 2 hours of CFP Board approved Ethics CE and 28 hours of general CE. When you complete the course, Dalton Education will report your CE hours directly to CFP Board on your behalf.

By the end of the course, you should be able to:
Understand the structure and content of the revised Code and Standards, including significant changes from prior rules.
Describe CFP Board’s Fiduciary Duty.
Identify material conflicts of interest and how to avoid or fully disclose, obtain informed consent, and manage them.
Understand the duty to report to CFP Board and the duty to cooperate.
Identify the practice standards when providing financial advice that requires financial planning.
Understand the duty to provide information to clients when providing financial planning and/or financial advice.
