Yes, our recommended education calendars are 10-12 months. We have six program cycles, with cohorts starting every other month throughout the year.
If a student also attends our exam prep program, The Dalton Review®, this takes another three months on average to complete.
Our program is designed for someone with a career, family, and hobbies to successfully obtain their CFP® certification. On average, it will take 2-3 hours a day, or 10-20 hours per week, during the education courses and exam review to be successful in completing, depending on the student’s chosen program and timeframe.
Dalton Education’s flexible schedule options mean students can pause and restart their studies if life events occur, and completed coursework does not expire regardless of how long a student pauses their studies. One of our designated education advisors will work with students to fit a schedule for their needs.
Dalton Education is the only provider to offer free audit options for review purposes. This means a student can get access to any course material they already completed even if it was years ago. Our number one priority is for our students to feel prepared and pass the exam the first time.
For those with other credentials, such as CPA, ChFC, or CFA®, our Capstone Course enables students to accelerate the education requirement and be eligible to sit for the CFP® exam sooner.
Our Guarantee to Pass™ programs include an Exam Readiness Assessment, along with one-on-one coaching from an instructor to address any weak areas that need to be remedied before the exam. If a student doesn’t feel ready or doesn’t score high enough on the Exam Readiness Assessment, they can retake exam review coursework, including attend extra review classes, until they’re ready.
